Make anything out of anything!
You can make anything out of anything, and it's really fun to make jewelry out of cute, but unconventional pieces!!
Today, I'm going to talk about making a necklace out of cute erasers! We all know I'm a proponent of gluing everything to everything, but this is a little different...kinda!
Here's the materials you will need:
- Mod Podge
- Embroider thread/needle and/or metal clasps
- A chain/necklace you like
- (Optional: Metal clasp/closure)
Next, thread your erasers onto your necklace/chain. If they are already have holes in them, feel free to use a metal closure to put it on the chain, or if the object is too big to fit a metal closer over (see the knife in the necklace above), use some of the embroidery thread and double knot it onto the chain! I generally just loop the thread twice before tying it off. If there are no holes for you to hang it from, thread your embroidery needle and push it through a stable part of your eraser. It may be a little hard to push through, but erasers are generally pretty malleable, so it will go through!
AAAAANND that's pretty much it! Add a metal clasp to one end if it doesn't already have it, and you have yourself a necklace!
>>You can use this technique on erasers to attach to them to rings, hair clips, and anything that you want!<<
>> I got the erasers from a giveaway at Fickle Wish store in Los Angeles, but you can find these cute erasers at most local stores, including Daiso.
>>I got the chain from eBay.
